Today I tweeted:

Sometimes the “Yes You Can’s” turn into “Not Gonna Happens.” Your job is to find peace with that and live live to the fullest.

Apparently I have a few issues.

I woke up this morning to a pretty cool realization, I traded in a few goals/dreams in order to make other goals/dreams bigger and better. Some of those priority shifts were based on wanting to see other people happy and some were because as I grew into the woman I am today my priorities changed. Could I still hit a few of those goals that I haven’t achieved yet?

Totally.

Am I will to make the sacrifices I need to in order to make that happen?

Hell no.

That is something that I have to own.  Sometimes it makes me sad but no point in bitterness and anger, especially if it gets direct at people around me.

rambling-signDon’t get me wrong, I am not saying to throw up your hands and sit back on your heels. Grab life with both hands and run with it! Do things! Create! Love! If you are miserable, move on and make room for joy.

Please don’t wallow in unachieved dreams.

Reflect so you can appreciate the journey, but don’t get stuck on a goal that is no longer applicable.

Hmmmm.. I think this would be where an entire conversation on “ego” would start. We can leave that for another day.
